This book covers the analysis of the work done by the members of the Eighth Lok Sabha in its fourteen sessions held from 15 January 1985 to 27 November 1989. It gives the Socio-economic background of the members of the Eighth Lok Sabha. The Lok Sabha passed in all 333 Acts. The most important among them were the one changing parties was discouraged. The members could lose membership of the Lok Sabha if the number of members changing the party was not 1/3 rd of the total, the second important enactment reduced the voting age from 21 to 18 years. The third important law passed was that it made the administration accountable and committees were appointed for agriculture, science, industry and environment to be looked after. This volume is useful for researchers, parliamentarians and academicians.
